Saracens have said they will wait out this week before declaring how long captain Brad Barritt stands to be out for.
The centre was forced off in Saracens 56-27 Champions Cup quarter-final victory over Glasgow Warriors, but the club has said initial scans indicate the outlook to be ‘relatively positive’.
“The timeline for his return will be determined by how he responds to treatment over the coming week,” a statement on the club website read.
Waiting to weigh up a more definitive prognosis on Barritt’s injury, Saracens will do so knowing they have a semi-final against Munster on 20 April.
Their attention turns back to the Premiership this weekend when they welcome Newcastle Falcons to Allianz Park.
