Impressive Ivybridge make light of wind and rain

IVYBRIDGE used the wet and windy conditions to their advantage to send runaway leaders Barnstaple to a fourth league defeat of the season.
Despite playing into the wind and rain, Ivybridge took an early lead on their artificial surface through Matthew Dayment.
A converted Adam Northcott score then put them 12-0 ahead at the break.
When Brendon Darley pulled a try back for Barnstaple early in the second half, a comeback looked on the cards.
However, the conditions pinned the leaders back and Jay Geraty sealed the 17-10 victory with the third try of the match.
