THE positions at the top of the table could not be tighter, with three clubs fighting it out for the title.
Macclesfield, who were top at the start of the afternoon went down 25-15 at home to Sandal and drop back to third.
Sam Broster and Sam Moss were their try-scorers, with Will Davies adding one conversion and a penalty.
Sandal crossed for tries through Austin Thompson, Declan Thompson and James Ellar, with Greg Wood successful with two conversions and two penalties.
