MACCLESFIELD powered away at the top of the table by beating Carlisle 40-29 at Warwick Road.
It was close at the interval, 19-17, through Macclesfield tries from Myles Hall, Will Davies and Sam Stelmaszek with Davies also slotting two conversions.
Carlisle kept in the hunt through tries from Grant Cannon, Rory Parish and Jack Holmes, converted by Jason Israel.
However, the visitors took a grip of the second half and ran in further tries through Dafydd Rees and seconds for Stelmaszek and Hall, all converted by Davies.
