BARNSTAPLEenforced their South West Premier title credentials by running out 22-10 victors over Exmouth following another solid performance at Pottington Road.
The league leaders went ahead after just 11 minutes when Haydn Lidstone crossed the whitewash for an unconverted effort.
Just seven minutes later Kyle Speare ran over a second effort which was this time converted by Kyran McManus.
However, Exmouth remained in the tie and pulled a try back before the break to go into half time 12-5 behind.
