Barnstaple tripped up by students

South West Premier
A LAST-MINUTE try from winger Toby Williams threw a spanner in the title race as Exeter University beat South West Premier leaders Barnstaple 34-29.
The runaway leaders were missing six firstteam players for the short trip to Exeter and the hosts took full advantage right from the start, going ahead through a seventh-minute Francesco Scardamaglia try.
A driving maul resulted in Barnstaple replying with a try of their own before the visitors went over again prior to the break to take a 15-10 halftime lead.
