ABERAVON stayed in the title race as they completed the double over the reigning champions.
Hot on the heels of Carmarthen Quins’ win over the leaders Cardiff, the Wizards ensured they remain in contention.
They now sit two points behind the Quins and are 12 points back from Cardiff, but with a game in hand.
Merthyr led 13-5 with an hour played, but the hostsbattled back with two tries to swing the momentum.
