BOURNVILLE strengthened their place at the top of the table with an impressive 34-10 win at home to Sandbach.
The visitors raced into a 10-0 lead courtesy of a Jack Leech try and five points via the boot of Mark Bird, but couldn’t make their lead count and fell away badly.
A yellow card ten minutes before half-time saw the hosts ramp up the pressure and Sam Herrington crossed for the first of his two tries, quickly followed by Tom Holliday and Ethan Walker.
With nearest challengers Sheffield without a game, Bournville’s lead now stands at seven points.
