HOLDERS Brecon booked their place in the last 16 of the Specsavers National Plate after once again getting the better of Bonymaen in a repeat of last season’s final.
Ewan Williams, Ioan Edwards and Scott Gibson all dotted down for Andy Powell’s men in a 24-16 third-round win, with Dean Gunter adding nine points from the boot.
Joining Brecon in the fourth round are former National Cup semi-finalists Newbridge, who came through their tie 32-27 at Aberystwyth.
