ABERAVON lost their unbeaten record as Llanelli moved clear of the relegation zone.
It was a second win of the season for Llanelli, who moved four points clear of the bottom team but showed what they are capable of. Last season, they were forced to beat Pontypool in the play-off game to retain their Premiership status, but now they are mixing it with the best.
