TABLE toppers Barnstaple dealt another blow to their title rivals and made it eight wins from nine matches in the South West Premier with a 27-20 win over Maidenhead.
However, the visitors got off to the perfect start when they were rewarded with a penalty try before Haydn Lidstone reduced their lead.
Barnstaple showed signs of what was to come with an opening try before the break to give them a 10- 7 interval lead.
