Barum’s strong run ended by Ivybridge

BARNSTAPLE saw their six-game winning run come to a dramatic end as they suffered a first defeat at the hands of Ivybridge.
A day of wet weather and soggy pitches made for low-scoring games and this one was no different, with Ivybridge leading at the break thanks to a single, solitary penalty.
However, it was the hosts who grabbed the opening try through Brandon Darley, converted by Kyran McManus to give themselves a 7-3 lead.
Ben Watts put Ivybridge back ahead by a single point and, with their hosts going down to 14 men, Jon Morgan crossed for a second try.
