GLENN Coles missed a last-gasp conversion to hand Maidenhead victory as they stayed second with a dramatic 43-42 win over Launceston.
Launceston, seeking a first league win, got off to a perfect start with Lloyd Duke’s try double.
An interception try from Scott Prince pulled Maidenhead back before Will Cowan-Dickie put the hosts ahead with a second converted score.
However, the visitors were clinical as Martin Kneebone and Levent Bulut went over to take a 22-14 lead into half-time.
