Leigh Halfpenny to remain sidelined for Scarlets

Leigh Halfpenny will not be available to play for in their showdown with this Friday.
The full-back will remain on the sidelines until he fully recovers from a concussion suffered on international duty with Wales.
Halfpenny was clattered by Wallabies centre Samu Kerevi when punting the ball away in the 9-6 victory over Australia.
And the Scarlets won’t risk their star back as they seek to bounce back from two defeats in the opening two rounds of the European competition.
Head coach Wayne Pivac is boosted by lock Jake Ball being cleared to play after passing HIA tests. Halfpenny’s Wales teammate was removed from the pitch in the regions’ trip to Glasgow at the weekend.
But Ball is in contention to play against Ulster at Parc y Scarlets along with prop Samson Lee, who is showing promise of overcoming a hamstring problem to be available.
Friday night’s contest is the first of a double header for Scarlets who travel to the Kingspan next week, ahead of the return of the PRO14 on December 22.
