NEWPORT edged an eighttry thriller with Llandovery.
The victory also saw head coach Craig Warlow end his reign on a high with the former Dragons fly half due to step down from his role.
It didn’t look like he would get the perfect send off after Aaron Warren’s 20th try of the season, gave Llandovery a dream start at Rodney Parade.
But Newport star Matt O’Brien got them back on level terms with a try that saw him reach the huge milestone of 750 points for the club.
