PONTYPRIDD kept their slim title hopes alive as they claimed a hardfought victory over RGC1404 in Colwyn Bay.
In a game played in awful conditions, it was the North Walians who opened the scoring. Scrum-half Nick Butterworth dummied at the base of the ruck before running in for a try, which Billy McBryde converted.
But the damp weather conditions suited the visitors, with Pontypridd’s pack beginning to gain the upper hand.
