EBBW VALE’S hopes of mounting a late challenge for the Principality Premiership title were laid to rest at Carmarthen Park.
The Quins were forced to fight back after conceding an early drop goal and then finding themselves trailing 13-10 at the break.
Tries from outside-half Jac Wilson and prop Javan Sebastian, combined with 16 points from the boot of full-back Aled Thomas, were enough. Ebbw are now 16 points off the top and have played two more matches than league leaders Merthyr.
