BARNSTAPLE took the advantage in the South West Premier play-offs race after taking a 62-8 victory over Newton Abbot while their rivals dropped points. The promotion chasers took no time in punishing their basement visitors as Adam Lloyd and Luke Berry crossed in the opening seven minutes.
