SWANSEA booked a place in the Cup quarter-finals with a hard fought victory over Bargoed in torrential rain.
The home side almost took advantage of an early maul, but the Bargoed defence remained firm and repelled the attack.
It was the visitors who gave away the first penalty when they tried to run the ball out of the 22.
With the Bargoed defence getting ready for the kick at goal, a surprise tap penalty by Chris Morgans saw the hosts swing the ball wide for Ifan Phillips to score.
