POWERFUL Pontypridd weathered an early storm in their National Cup first round tie against brave Bedlinog but then stamped their authority to reach a half a century of points.
The Sardis Road men had slipped 3-0 into arrears after just four minutes of play when Dan Parry kicked a 40-metre penalty.
But Ponty led 17-3 at the interval thanks to the best try of the match in the 22nd minute from Rhys Shellard, who rounded off a move featuring centre Alex Knott and wings Dale Stuckey and Webber.
