EBBW Vale stayed patient to pick up the full five points at Bargoed and stay in touch at the top of the Principality Premiership ahead of their vital home clash with third-placed Cardiffnext weekend.
Josh Prosser and Rhys Jones exchanged penalties in the opening stages as the home side went 6-3 up.
But then the visitors created two flashes of brilliance in the space of five minutes to build an 11- point advantage.
