RGC began their campaign with a hard-fought home success.
Visitors Neath went ahead after five minutes when Mike Evans dotted down after a dominant spell. Iwan Evans added the extras.
Billy McBryde got the home side up and running with a well-struck penalty on nine minutes, and they took the lead for the first time when Sam Wainwright powered home.
McBryde narrowly missed the conversion attempt, but he extended their advantage with a penalty on the half-hour after both sides were reduced to 14 men.
