Wizards’ magical first 40 sees them beyond Ebbw Vale

ABERAVON held off a brave second-half comeback from Ebbw Vale to claim a narrow victory at Eugene Cross Park. The Wizards started brightly with winger Frankie Jones crossing the whitewash inside two minutes to follow up his debut try last weekend. Chris Banfield added the extras from the tee.
The youngster then turned provider as he showed his immense pace to run through a crowd of Vale players before, unselfishly, setting up Joe Thomas for an easy try. Aberavon’s James Ratti picked up a serious injury and needed lengthy treatmen...
