Play-makers inspire Ponty against in-form RGC

A ROUSING display by the home pack and smart work by half-backs Jamie Hill and Diggy Bird earned Pontypridd a deserved, if narrow, win over the North Wales men.
RGC arrived at Sardis Road in a rich vein of form having rattled up 119 points in their previous two matches while Ponty were themselves buoyed by a thumping win at Swansea.
In an entertaining first half, wing Dale Stuckey and hooker Huw Dowden crossed for touchdowns while fly-half Bird kicked a penalty and a conversion.
