CARDIFF upset the odds with a hard-fought win over league leaders Carmarthen Quins.
It was the visitors who took the lead midway through the first half when the Quins were penalised for failing to roll away. Gareth Thompson kicked the three pointer.
Moments later the fly half extended his side’s lead with a second penalty goal from long range. Cardiff grabbed a try against the run of play when Adam Jones secured a turnover and linked up with Dan Fish, before taking a return pass to sprint home to score.
