Camborne shock the Crusaders

Crusaders saw their long winning run come to a dramatic end in the National League 3 South West Premier as Camborne completed a league double.

Declan Matthews, Jake Champion, Damien Cook and Ashley Riches all crossed the whitewash for Camborne with David Mankee converting all four tries.

Despite losing 28-16, Dings remain 19 points above Bournemouth who took a 24-19 victory over Ivybridge. It was Ivybridge who stole an early lead before Grant Hancox responded with a penalty and then Alex Sutherland ran over his side’s first try.

Ivybridge ran over their own try before Sutherland once again responded with Hancox converting.

Despite Ivybridge running over again Wyn Roberts secured the win with a try out wide.

Maidenhead lost second place but remain a point behind Bournemouth after suffering a 6-0 defeat at the hands of Brixham.

Newton Abbot are just a point behind Maidenhead in a close fight for second place after suffering a narrow 21-20 defeat at the hands of .

The All Whites’ tries came courtesy of Rob Avery-Wright, Jonny Brown and Jake Monnington, but their side were narrowly beaten.

Newbury moved further away from the zone with their 10th victory of the season beating Cleve 42-7.

The Blues took no time to rack up the points and had a bonus point 22-0 lead at the break before adding second-half tries.

Bracknell were 38-12 victors over lowly Lydney running over five tries.

Weston-super-Mare secured their ninth victory of the season with a 29-21 win over Exmouth. The tries came from Dan Spellman, David Bird and Robbie McKay.
