■ FORMER RFU chief executive Ian Ritchie could be on his way back to the sport as chairman of Premiership Rugby.
Ritchie retired from his role with the Union last summer after five years at Twickenham and was responsible for appointing Eddie Jones.
During his tenure the RFU overtook the Football Association as the biggest money making national governing body.
Ritchie was paid £710,000 a year before departing last year and was then asked to carry out a governance review of the Six Nations Council.
