Gogs hang on after Pearce’s late try threatens an upset

RGC 1404 moved into second place after coming from behind to beat Aberavon at the Talbot Athletic Ground.
After ending their fourgame wait for a win a fortnight ago against Llanelli, Aberavon made a fast start.
They took the lead through winger Shaun Pearce, who used his pace well to claim the opening try. James Garland added the conversion to give the Wizards the perfect start.
RGC battled back well but were cautious of Aberavon’s pace after a few dangerous counter-attacks.
However, a Jacob Botica penalty helped put points on the board for the North Walian side...
