Pitman stars as Cardiff collect bonus-point victory

RORY Pitman and Gareth Thompson helped Cardiff secure a bonus-point victory at Arms Park against strugglers Neath.
Neath had an early chance to score when they charged down a clearance kick in the Cardiff 22, but outside half Iwan Evans was unable to hang on to a pass from bustling centre Gavin Evans.
The visitors were then forced onto the defensive and it was Cardiff who finally opened the scoring in the 20th minute, No.8 Pitman claiming the side’s 1000th Welsh Premiership try while outside half Thompson added the extra points.
