GLOUCESTER-Hartpury made it two from two on Saturday afternoon, but had to work hard to keep Wasps out in a dramatic final quarter.
Their first home game in the top flight was always going to be a momentous occasion, however, few would have anticipated such drama.
They first had to overcome the late withdrawal of Gemma Sharples due to illness, and also a ferocious opening from the visitors and it was somewhat against the run of play that Susie Appleby’s side took the lead.
