SARACENS made a winning start to their season beating Firwood Waterloo who paid a heavy price for two second half yellow cards.
Firwood Waterloo pushed hard right from the kick-off, their defence forcing Saracens to commit multiple penalties throughout the half and Bethany Stott put the hosts ahead with a penalty at the second time of asking.
Strong play from Saracens off their set piece gave them field position but they failed to capitalise, missing a penalty kick before a lastditch tackle from Rebekah Wilson prevented them from scoring the first try of the game.
