ALTHIOUGH it was a pre-season friendly, this first cross-Tamar derby since March 2015 brought with it the usual mix of fire and brimstone.
The net result produced the archetypal game of two halves from which both clubs will take a lot of useful information into their league campaigns.
It was at times a scrappy affair most notably in the second period, when the hosts, seemingly, could do little to please referee Christophe Ridley.
