GAVIN Henson made his return to Welsh club rugby on Friday night but it was in a losing cause as the Dragons were defeated by Montpellier.
The 35-year-old, who joined from Bristol this summer, started at fly-half but he couldn’t prevent his side from going down in their first game against the French outfit who will start the Top 14 next week.
A penalty try handed Montpellier an early lead and, even though Henson put the Dragons on the board with a penalty, the French led 19-3 after Henry Immelman and Paul Willemse went over.
