A LATE try in Perpignan condemned Leinster to a narrow defeat in their opening game of their preseason campaign on Friday night.
The French led 19-17 at the break, scoring three tries through Jacques Potgieter, Alan Brazo, Sione Piukala against two to Leinster from Ed Byrne and Tom Daly. Bryan Byrne got another one back for Leinster and Ian Marsh kicked a penalty to level matters at 25-25, after Perpignan had Romuald Seguy kick two penalties of his own.
Marsh then put the Irish in front with a well-taken try but Christophe Andre followed suit to level again.
