SURREY’S hopes of winning consecutive Division One finals in the Gill Burns County Championship ended with a 25-13 defeat to Lancashire at Richmond.
Surrey dominated the early exchanges but could not turn possession into points. Instead, two longrange tries from outside centre Vanessa Temple and full-back Igemi Ekoku gave advantage to Lancashire.
