THE champagne remains on ice for Pontypool after their 18-game league winning run was brought to a dramatic halt by Cardiff Met.
The Students ran out 30- 17 victors over Pooler who simply needed a victory to secure the Championship crown. Luke Northcrossed twice for Met, with fullback Tyler Williams chipping in 13 points from the boot. So Leighton Jones’ men will look to scoop the title when they take on Glamorgan Wanderers next weekend.
