Hughes denies Kidwelly with late penalty

IOAN Hughes held his nerve with a late penalty as Llanelli Wanderers snatched a draw against Kidwelly in the battle of the top in the West.
Kidwelly looked set to win at 19-6, but debutant Hughes combined with Daniel Griffiths’ try, stunned the league leaders.
Jordan Rees crossed for a brace as Rhydyfelin remain top of the East after a hard-fought 25-18 win at Blaenavon. Ross Lucas also scored with Dai Gratton kicking 10 points.
