PONTYPRIDD made it one step closer to the final of the WRU National Cup as they held out to defeat Carmarthen Quins 24-19 at The Park.
Dale Stuckey’s two tries were key to Pontypridd’s quarter-final success, the wing crossing the whitewash on two occasions in an entertaining first period.
The boot of marksman Craig Evans had kept Quins in the game in the first period, the metronomic fly-half booting four penalties in the opening 40 minutes.
