Vale dig in to down Wizards and earn first win since split

REIGNING Principality Premiership champions Ebbw Vale showed they are not willing to give up their title without a fight as they beat Aberavon at home in Tier 1.
The Wizards had set the pace throughout the first half of the season, and finished at the summit of the Premiership table before the league split into two.
But two unanswered home tries were enough to earn the Steelmen a muchneeded victory after their opening round defeat to Bedwas.
