I WAS fascinated to see my old team-mate Ryan Jones launch a new initiative through the Welsh Rugby Union to try to get more second teams playing on a Saturday afternoon.
The basic premise is that if one team turns up and is struggling for 15 players, the game can still go ahead with either 12, 13 or 14-aside, whatever. Aligned with that is the fact the rules can and will change depending on how many are on the field at any one time.
