Two days before they began their European tour by taking Wales to the cleaners, eight All Blacks turned up at a junior club in the nether regions of the Welsh League to give youngsters an impromptu coaching session.
Old Penarthians, who can be found in the bottom half of Division 4 East Central, could hardly believe their eyes when they discovered that the eight included double World Player of the Year Beauden Barrett and New Zealand’s captain, Sam Whitelock.
