ULSTER’S home season closed 24 hours ahead of schedule on Friday, a positive Covid test within their ranks causing the cancellation of their Rainbow Cup tie against Scarlets. In declaring the match a 0-0 draw, the organisers could not have come up with a more appropriate score.
Somehow it seemed the perfect way of summing up Ulster’s season, much ado about nothing-nothing.
