Eddie Jones is good at grabbing headlines, but increasingly they are not the sort that does rugby union any favours.
This week Australia’s recently reinstalled head coach turned what he claimed was constant negative coverage of the Wallabies into an even bigger negative at the squad’s farewell press conference at Sydney airport before leaving for the France World Cup.
Jones launched a tirade at journalists for their lack of optimism after losing the first four Tests of his second stint as Wallaby coach.
