There has been far too much talk about England’s “free pass” into the semi-finals of the 2023 World Cup, especially given Argentina’s performances in the Rugby Championship recently, as well as in a year in which they have recorded away victories over New Zealand, England, and Australia.
It makes the Pumas a serious threat to England’s World Cup ambitions, and I make Argentina favourites to win when they meet in their opening pool game of the World Cup in Marseille early next month.
