THERE are aspects of the way the RFU is being run that would not have been out of place in the old Soviet Politburo. This has been laid bare this summer by the extent to which the 12-strong RFU Board, and the RFU Executive, is prepared to dictate terms in what was established from the outset as a democratic co-operative society acting in the best interests of its member clubs, and English rugby union.
