I CANNOT believe that anyone would expect that Bill Sweeney or Tom Ilube will willingly walk away from their roles at the RFU even if there is a vote of no confidence in either or both of them. I am assuming that they have contracts with the RFU for the roles that they fill and may have a few years remaining, so would have to be ‘compensated’ for their remaining time if forced to leave. Whereas, if they resign they get nothing.
It is interesting to read that Sweeney is in charge of every aspect of the current game at Twickenham ...
