It's been well worth waiting until the end of the season to see some of the best and most competitive matches played in the Premiership this year. Without any silly 90-point games in the playoffs, it was hard fought games with close results – just what the fans have been waiting and paid their money for and, dare I say, almost how rugby used to be.
The semi-finals last week were certainly not a foregone conclusion and needed something special from Northampton and Bath to reach yesterday’s final, which they provided.
