We were waiting and hoping for a game that will define how far England have developed since the win in the World Cup that supposedly ranked them the third-best team in the world and it came, out of the blue, at Twickenham yesterday.
Like thousands of England fans, I could hardly watch as England pressed for victory, eventually delivered by a Marcus Smith drop goal with the last kick of the match.
