Regular readers of The Rugby Paper will recall that I told you a very long time ago that Jack Crowley was the obvious natural successor to Johnny Sexton at fly-half for Ireland so hopefully the Munsterman’s highly accomplished performance at Stade Velodrome came as no surprise.
The vociferous Leinster fans and what in Ireland they call the ‘Dublin media’ sang the praises of Ross Byrne – Sexton’s apprentice at Leinster – and even mentioned his younger brother Harry in dispatches but from this side of the Irish Sea Crowley has always been a clear favourite....
