HEAVILY-built powerhouses like Manu Tuilagi sometimes take a few months to hit full stride after a long layoff – especially after an injury as serious as the torn Achilles tendon which sidelined the Sale and England centre for the last eight months.
However, the great news for Sale – and potentially for the British & Irish Lions – is that Tuilagi looked in mint physical condition when he played his first game of the season after coming on in the 48th minute of his club’s 22-12 victory over Bristol at the AJ Bell on Friday night.
